Ciabatta

Ciabatta is the type of bread which mirrors the Italian awareness of life like no other.

It stands out due to the especially crispy, aromatic crust and the light, juicy inside.

The characteristic coarse crumb texture of Ciabatta, with the greasy, shiny pore walls, is achieved by the very soft and long dough process. Italian wheat flours, wheat sourdough, salt, malt flour and a little olive oil are the raw materials of this bread, which is extremely successful throughout Europe.

The name Ciabatta derives from the flat bread shape, and when translated means “slipper”.
