|  | Depending on the variety, linseed has either a brown or a yellow husk. It is the seeds of the flax plant and tastes slightly nutty. Due to its high percentage of fat, linseed is also used for oil production. The husks of the seeds also contain dietary fibre, however. Thus, should linseed be consumed together with a lot of liquid, it can swell and encourage digestion in this way.
