Tasting variety:
Pumpkin

The pumpkin plant attracts attention due to its mostly golden-yellow, bell-shaped flowers. From these, the most varied shapes of pumpkin develop. Some are only used for decoration purposes, others, however, are edible.

In the case of these edible pumpkins, both the flesh and the seeds can be used. The flesh mainly consists of water, but dietary fibre is also contained. The tasty seeds are very rich in oil and are therefore a source of fat-soluble vitamins and unsaturated fatty acids.

In the bakery, pumpkin seeds are used as a topping or are also very popular as a colour contrast in the crumb.
