  | | | European bread variety - Finland Ruispalat
| | The Finnish Ruispalat has a unique, characteristic taste. Ruispalat is made from slightly acidified, finely and medium-ground coarse rye grain, rye
malt, salt and yeast. Using special technology, the soft dough is dusted with a large amount of finely-ground coarse rye and cut out into the desired shape. When wrapped, the baked Ruispalat keeps for several days and can also be toasted. It is ideal for long transport distances or longer stays in the isolation of the Finnish woods. Typically Nordic cheeses as well as fish or meat are eaten along with Ruispalat. Recipe Ruispalat
