FSSC means “Food Safety System Certification” and refers to the international standard ISO 22000. The IREKS food safety management system for manufacturing baking ingredients and malts at our headquarters in Kulmbach has been certified for many years now. This is in accordance with recognised and up-to-date food safety standards defined by the Global Food Safety Initiative.
Apart from quality related certifications, there are also certifications for halal products that comply with the particular regulations of the Muslim religion.Those certificates have extremely specific demands.
At IREKS, each halal product is certified individually. That is to say, for every product, a religiously trained or commissioned person will evaluate if a certification is possible.
