The IREKS Group is constantly making progress – be it in connection with additional production facilities, the expansion of expertise in the field of grain processing or new cooperation ventures to strengthen our product range. Every development represents an opportunity to expand our energy management and keep improving our energy efficiency. This holds true for the EICHENMÜHLE site in Scherneck, Germany, as well.
The IREKS GmbH sites in Germany have already been certified according to ISO 50001 since 2012. In 2015, the Austrian subsidiary STAMAG Stadlauer Malzfabrik GesmbH and in 2016 the subsidiary DREIDOPPEL GmbH were integrated into the energy management system. As part of an external audit in 2022, EICHENMÜHLE GmbH in Scherneck has now been included in the matrix certification of the IREKS Group for the German-speaking countries.
By grinding grain into high-quality flour, EICHENMÜHLE, which has been part of our Company Group since the summer of 2021, makes an important contribution with regard to the quality and safety of our IREKS baking ingredients. In this way, we continue along the path we have been following for a long time – by continuously strengthening the entire value-added chain for our most important basic raw materials in our Company Group, from the field to the bakery.
ISO 50001 is a globally valid standard which supports companies in setting up a systematic energy management, providing proof of an energy management system that complies with the standard by means of a certification.
